If only...

I had a phone call on Thursday asking if Roy and I could play golf today and mark the card of another couple, of course I said yes.

We could not play in the comp officially, as we had missed the closing date!! Yet we could play in the comp and mark a card, (Spanish logic) but our score would not count.

It was a 'pairs better ball stroke play', which means whoever gets the best score on a particular hole you record that score on the card.

Roy and I came in with a gross 90, less handicap = a Net 68, which had we been in the comp would have won it. Hey ho never mind, it was a good day out, and cost us nothing.

Now off out for a meal
