New juniper berries at head of Haweswater
We've helped nurture and plant lots of juniper trees out around Haweswater over the years.
It's nice to see new berries appearing on the bushes by the car park.
The berries need to stay on for another year before becoming purple - ready to be harvested for the tree nursery to make more - or being eaten by the birds, etc.
Hopefully these trees will help us survive the Phytophthora austrocedrae fungus which is in the area
