After being led a merry dance...

.. many times over the last few days, finally I captured a Snipe on the island of Colonsay this morning.

I could hear them, I followed them, but every time, they were one step ahead and so quick to disappear. This morning I was in the car and spotted this one on a dyke, head tucked in for a wee nap. It didn't take long to come to life, but long enough for a few shots, before it vanished as quick as a flash. I could not believe my luck!

Yesterday I managed to capture a pair of Skua which was also quite exciting.
