Fiestas: sunny day in Plaza Mayor -& Gigantones!

Day 2 of the Burgos fiestas. If you look closely, you can four giant people in a row just to the right of the centre, and three more to their left. These are giant statue-puppets, called Gigantones. They represent important characters in Burgos' history, and they (well, the poor people inside of them) do a dance every day of the fiestas in Plaza Mayor! It was an awesome sight! Unfortunately I wasn't able to get a better photo of the Gigantones, but let's take a moment to appreciate the beautiful pastel colours of the houses overlooking the square! x
