Left Behind

Fledgling Seagull on the roof outside our hotel window in Dorchester. It was being encouraged by parent to leap off the roof and begin to fly. For the whole time we were there it didn't want to try. On our last day, as we packed to leave, it fell over the edge and landed in next door's garden. A much lower place to start from. Sadly, not all fledglings make it and I think this was one of them.
