As yesterday the Island missed out on the daytime storms which crossed the Mainland . Towards evening ugly looking clouds were tracking along the Solent giving me a great hours shooting in the dry before the rain finally arrived for the evening.

As the liner Independence of the Seas was on her way out of Southampton a lucky splash of light hit the area of sea she was travelling through lighting her up as though in a spotlight.

I bet the voyagers on board were pleased to be heading for sunnier climes.
