A Very Enjoyable Day

I went with my husband and brother to the Ipswich Transport and Model Festival today.

Excellent event - we started off at the Ipswich Transport Museum and then there was a selection of historic buses that took us to 4 different venues in the area, running to a timetable that meant a bus every 20 minutes from each venue.

The next stop was a model railway shop, followed by a venue with a selection of railway layouts and trade stands. Then we went onto a model railway exhibition and then the final stop, before returning to the Transport Museum was a display by the Ipswich Model Engineering Society.

This display included model steam trains travelling around the garden area and a train big enough for a few adults and children to have a ride around the garden on.

I chose this as my image of the day, due to the fact that the gentleman's hands that you can see working on the back of this model steam traction engine, had been building this piece of engineering for the past 35 years!
