Football in the Forest
Today we went into the New Forest for a picnic.
We parked at a lovely spot called Whitefield Moor, which has an extensive flat grassed area perfect for picnics and for children to play. It's popular with family groups who congregate for picnic parties and BBQ's and today there were several groups there with gazebo's set up.
We managed to park as there were still a few spaces at the time we arrived, but later the car park was full! We set up our camping chairs and picnic blanket and the kids got stuck in playing football, followed by a family game of boule.
After our picnic food the children played some more before we packed up our belongings and headed off for a walk following one of the short walk trails. It's a lovely walk as it passes over a stream via two wooden bridges.
Fantastic day out, and the best bit is that it was free!
I've decided to blip a snap of Oliver reminding Isabella of the hand ball rules in football.
