Bomber
Think it was headed the wrong way to get to Carron Valley Reservoir.
Didn't fancy the Armed Forces day but me and the boys are fond of the Red Arrows so we headed off by train as all reports were that Stirling would be gridlocked by the crowds for Bannockburn Live and Armed Forces Day. Who would have two major events on in the one day in one town? Fill in your own cynical (and probably true) answer.
Anyway the train (which Scotrail was saying would be rammed) was so rammed we got a seat of four. We then wandered up to the Castle to find it near empty, including the car park, hey ho. Went up to the battlement and found Delph Wynd. Caught the RAF parachutists, the Typhoon when the rain started and we headed off for cake. Back out and saw the Battle of Britain flight (spelt Britian by the MOD Armed Forces Day website, amongst some other howlers. Do the military not have access to spell checkers?) and finally the Red Arrows. Headed back down and boarded a near empty train and went home for fish suppers.
Papers are now reporting 35,000 at the event. Must be some creative counting or they were counting those that were at the parade as there was no way there was 35,000 in that field and the car parks weren't close to half full. More bullshit from the Govt. and the lazy media on the run up to the referendum.
