Sky

How pleasant it was to wake to a glorious blue sky, fascinating streaky clouds, bright sunshine and comfortable temperatures. Quite a change from a week ago.

The day turned out good too. A couple of episodes of Balltkissangel, then a stop-off to pick up a greeting card and a bottle of bubbly to bring to a special afternoon get-together we'd been invited to. A couple we know are having their Civil Partnership ceremony in Edinburgh next Saturday, and there was a bit of a wish-you-well celebration today. Some of the select gathering were known to us, others not, but it didn't really matter who knew who, since hour and after hour went by with virtually non-stop chat (a lot of which was reminiscing about 'the good old days'). The host laid on a magnificent spread of savoury and sweet delights along with cup after cup after cup of tea, following which the bottles of bubbly were popped and we got down to some really serious chat. A terrific time was had by all.
