Jetty at Blackness Castle
Went for a wander around Blackness Castle again today. The castle was built in the fifteenth century and over the years has predominantly been used as a fortress and prison.
This hoist was built on the jetty in 1874 to aid deliveries of ammunition which was stored at the castle. If you look very closely you can see the forth rail bridge in the distance.
