The benefits

Sundays seem to be the day to walk further- today we covered about 43k. We arrived to carrion around 1115 and decided to press on which meant a stretch of 17k without a town or a break. It was well worth it. As an aside, the benefits of speaking Spanish have been remarkable. Not only has it opened the door to fascinating conversations, I've had some truly unique experiences not shared by all. After conversing with our waiter upon arrival, I was invited to share in the family meal with others from the restaurant. The paella was amazing, but the privlwsge to have been included is what I will remember.
