Last Tango in Wigpool

We had a final walk in the Forest of Dean this morning, before we departed for home, and went to a really pretty and quiet nature reserve. Clive had walked up there with Ziggy and Hector yesterday evening and came across a wild boar mother and piglet.

We hoped we may see some again this morning, but they probably lie low in the daytime. We saw lots of traces of them where they had been snuffling and uprooting the undergrowth.

There were many dragonflies about, but the pesky little blighters wouldn't stay still long enough to have their picture taken. In the end I plumped for some beautifully coloured burnet moths which were on the clover flowers.

We couldn't quite make this pair out, although we got quite up-close and personal. They seem to be doing what the birds and the bees naturally do, but one seemed to have just emerged from its cocoon. They don't hang about these moths!

Apologies if I've not replied to comments or commented on any blips for the last few days, but we had awful connection problems.
