A practice run.

In a few weeks time we are of on holiday to France. We usually head to the mountains but the knees just don't want to do it any more. So this year we are going to do some cycle touring. Loaded up the panniers with fleece jackets and tins form the kitchen and off to St Annes for the day. Glorious warm sunshine and a light breeze, ideal conditions for a 32 mile round trip, till the inevitable 2 punctures on Liz's bike. Lucky for her we had just passed a pub after the second one so she went back for half a shandy while I bravely rode home to get the van to pick her up.
