Fannyside Loch
I actually went to Fannyside to photograph the bog cotton on the peat bogs, but I think I was too late. There were some patches of bog cotton far away inside the moss (bog), but I wasn't kitted out for a long trek across the bog. Instead I decided to try the other side of the road and take the shorter walk to the loch.
Imagine my surprise when I reached the water's edge to find two embarrased looking photogs already there with a young lady model. They seemed well kitted out with what I now realise was a video on a tripod and a laptop. They all looked a wee bit concerned that someone had stumbled on their setup, so I took a few shots and left them to their "photography". Just goes to show that you can never tell what's happening on your doorstep. Now I could be completely wrong. Perhaps it was just their "niece" and they were taking some "portraits", but I didn't want to be part of it.
