A morning of bulk cooking - 8 portions each of bolognese and chilli con carne (trying coffee as the main liquid for the first time). Followed by an afternoon in the meadows.

"I picked up my first mallet in 1930," he said. I later found out that he had recovered from a broken neck, sometime in the last couple of years. Not sure if it was when he fell out of a train or if that was a completely different occasion.
