Fire

Another fantastically, chilled day on holiday. Went for a lovely drive and walk with gorgeous scenery and even a few highland cows. Early evening was spent walking the beach with kids throwing stones, looking for crabs and even attempting a little fishing. However, the day was summed up by my husbands attempt at getting a fire going on the beach in front of the cottage.

Having watched Bear Grylls 'The Island' series recently, I was expecting a fire to be going in no time considering John had lighter, firelighters, paper and plenty of wood - it was not too be ! a good 30mins later and copious amounts of paper/wood he finally got it going in time for us to enjoy some toasted marshmallows before kids went to bed.
