Gladiolus cardinalis

Possibly the most beautiful plant in the garden.
It's a South African like the vast majority of gladioli, and is known as the Waterfall Gladiolus. It's also the parent for lots of garden hybrids.

The plant in the background is Leptospermum lanigerum, an Australian endemic known as the Woolly Tea Tree.
