Chillingham Castle

Explored Chillingham castle and gardens today. Beautiful building and gardens with an interesting collection of artefacts inside. Interestingly this is owned by the Wakefield family, which was my maiden name! Long list relatives perhaps?!

Afterwards, we drive home via Barter books in Alnwick to have a coffee and browse the vast collection of second hand books. Got another local history book to add to my ever expanding collection.
