Ringlet Butterfly

One of a mating pair of Ringlet Butterflies on a short walk before hoofing it home to meet Fi to watch the Netherlands - Mexico match (bloody Arjen Robben) and have him measure up the garden for a fence on annoying-neighbour-side.

The same walk saw us stumble upon a Buzzard nest, where two youngsters eyed us suspiciously, obviously close to fledging. Lovely to see.

Feeling a little better than at the end of last week, but the weekend has been typically short. Still, another bright spot was booking train tickets for me to go to Leeds next Saturday, where a certain large sporting event is going to be starting (and I even get home in time for the highlights on the telly). So once again I'll be wishing my life away and hoping the working week won't be too irritating.
