The Games are coming

As I was commuting to work in the morning, I ended up getting stuck on the stairs of a bus on Princes St. waiting for a traffic jam to clear in front of the Balmoral hotel. Since it seemed that we weren't getting anywhere fast I decided to get out my camera and take a few shots. I was admiring the colourful Commonwealth Games flags across the street and thinking that it wasn't going to be long before they got underway. I haven't been interested in getting tickets for the Games myself but I hope Scotland puts on a good show. (that means that the weather needs to behave itself as well so no rain please!)
