Famara bay at low tide
Famara bay on Lanzarote island is one of the hot spots for surfers. These dramatic cliffs often draw the clouds and on the far side of these hills is the greener part of this volcanic island due to the precipitation created by the clouds on these cliffs. This is taken near the harbour, a safe spot for swimming and where the locals (older men with hats on) congregate for a bit of fishing or their favourite pastime of sitting on a wall seat chatting. The seawater rusts most things around here including the cars, but I love this rusted chain.
