Princess Tiana
We are planning our family vacation. After many years of days out and stay cations, we are going big for our first trip on an aeroplane for our daughter, our first trip out of state for our daughter and yes our first trip to DisneyWorld for our daughter. Whilst my husband and I have been before, this will be our four year old's first introduction to Disney. And when I say Disney I mean Disney. Despite living in SoCal, we have not taken her to Disneyland. Despite it being a few hours and a few hundred dollars away.
We have had comments about this.
We have our reasons.
Right now we don't care what anyone says because we are hearing up for our mega trip to DisneyWorld!
Since we know out daughter will want to dress as a princess for at least some of the days, I was trying to think of a way to enjoy the dressup without the polyester itchy "dressup" outfits which are supposed to be worn over clothes and that in itself seems silly in the Floridian heat in August (never mind the Californian heat at home!). So thanks to my amazing sister pointing out a mommy crafting blog quite some time ago, I have been inspired to adapt some everyday wear to princess style chic!
The pirate fairy costume I posted previously was a rest of an adapted outfit. This is a tshirt and skort from Walmart, adapted with my daughter's artistic sensibilities and a handy picture of Tiana to a Princess Tiana play everyday outfit.
Thoughts?
And Rapunzel, Anna, Elsa and Aurora are er works in progress!
