It Ain't Over Till It's Over

Couldn't believe the floods in the town when I went up by car in the morning. Church Lane, Slaney Mall all under 2 foot of water. Businesses mostly, including the old Books on the Bridge and Murrays shops, but also peoples houses in the town and the housing estate, Parkmore.

The melting snow and recent rain was too much for the River Slaney and it crept into the town at about 6am causing havoc.

Just when we thought we were out of the woods with the Big Freeze then this comes along.

What will the elements throw at us next I wonder?
