Anyone about?

Our friend was back in the garden again this morning. I am pretty sure it is the same rabbit that comes every time as both would come together occasionally. Thinking of rabbits, the old Portlanders from the Isle of Portland in Dorset always called them bunnies as it was bad luck to mention the word rabbit. There was once an accident where several quarrymen were killed owing to the land where the rabbits were burrowing caving in on top of them.

J looked in this morning with his new black labrador puppy, 10 weeks old. Very sweet and a welcome addition to his household since old Zulu had to be put down before last Christmas. J's wife A has very bad Alzheimers and J looks after her at home so the new pup will be someone else to talk to and enjoy for both of them.

New calf born this morning. Very small and had not sucked so we defrosted some colostrum from the freezer and tubed it to start it on its way.
