The village superstore...
...and amenity number three for Ingbirchworth. You can find just about anything you want in this Aladdin's cave, and Arthur will take in parcels and send off dry cleaning into the bargain! He is also up at 5am every day but Sunday to sort the paper delivery. Marlene and Arthur opened the store in 1981, converting part of their bungalow to do so. Sadly Marlene died last year and Arthur is finding it hard to cope on his own ( not surprising since he's in his eighties ). Happily the grandchildren are helping out with the shop, and have arranged Internet orders from the cash and carry and a rota to give him support and time off.
So this is my MonoMonday:Reflections entry - not just the reflections in the window, but also reflections on loss and ageing and family.
