Old and New

Spent the afternoon converting redcurrants into redcurrant jelly and as it was so lovely and warm I had the kitchen window wide open. I have a feeder just outside this window and just caught this tired and tattered parent with a pristine young bird on the same feeder. No doubt my children thought I looked like this old bird when they were young!
