Going up?

This lovely glass lift is a modern bit of sparkle in this Grade 1 listed Georgian building, rising to the skylight four floors above.

I'm getting goose bumps reading its history of 'entertainment on a lavish scale'. Newspapers of the day pre 1842 reported the owner's 'wasteful splendour and oriental pomp' which led to his ruin.

Better be on my best behaviour then :-)
