Today 's the day....

....,that the swallows left the nest that is in my workshop. Most of them just launched off and flew unerringly through a gap 9 inches square that I had left for the birds to go in and out. But this one paused on a cable just long enough for me to catch his downy breast.
To go from the cramped nest ( June 25 blip ) to flying effortlessly ......I take my hat off to these wonderful little birds!
And this afternoon they have been swooping and diving past my house......I feel very privileged! :-)
