Acanthus spinosus

Mainly native to Southern Europe from Italy to Western Turkey this plant grows prolifically in our garden in southwest England ! I'm not that keen on it but it impresses me in its ability to survive my total neglect of it !

Mr H's birthday today. 37 years ago we celebrated his 18th birthday - our first as a couple. Today he went to the dentist, work and the launch of the Seaton Memory Cafe that he has been involved in, then we worked in the garden, had fish for supper and then he went to the pub quiz ! It's the simple things.........!
