Bees' nectar bar

Bees love the nectar of the pale green lime flowers which hang in clusters, each of which is attached to a papery bract. When the drumstick-like seeds develop they spin slowly down on the bract. Unfortunately lime aphids are also attracted to the trees and they secrete a sweet sticky liquid called honeydew which drips down making a mess on cars parked beneath.
