79 days to go
I had a busy day of constituency work finishing up with a long surgery in Oban.
Then , in perfect sunshine, I drove to Seil Island for a YES event. However I didn't expect that the Clachan Bridge, the famous "Bridge over the Atlantic" onto the island , built in 1793 to a design by Thomas Telford, would have welcomed me in such a positive way.
The sign was, however, very temporary (it was away by the time we left three hours later) but certainly proved a talking point at the well attended public meeting in the much newer Seil Island Hall at Ellenabeich, where there was also a TV crew from Austrian broadcasters ORF making a documentary about the referendum and having to cope with interviews amidst a cloud of midges.
