In the service of peace

My nephew received his first campaign medal today. He and his fellow soldiers have been deployed to Cyprus with the United Nations peace keeping force.

They are there until November and he is stationed about 5 mins from the British military hospital where I was born. We are going over for a holiday next month and the army have given him a 3 day pass so we can meet up.

We are very proud of Mathew and his fellow comrades.

I am hoping to be a lot better by then :-)
