An Afternoon at the Movies

This little object is a piece of art we picked up in Italy several years ago. It has rows of tiny little clay people sitting watching a movie (which is in fact a photograph holder that is on the right of the picture that I have cut off).

The crowd includes a football team (see row of purple shirts) and upside down baby who sadly has lot one leg, and a man in a suit and tie who has fallen asleep.

The whole piece is only about 6" long, so trying to get a good photo meant a bit of close up work. Although we've had this for years, I love looking at it and all the characters, and the best thing is, you get to control what they watch and they can never leave their seats!!
