Stop that monkeying around!

Today's little jaunt was to Twycross Zoo so that we could Dolittle (talk to the animals) and see the baby hefalump (who was very cute but I couldn't get a decent shot).
I did, however spend a little time with this lovely grumpy specimen who reminded me greatly of my Dad. He loved chimps, would have loved to have one of his own if the truth be told. He brought various animals to live with us over the years. My Mum always said if someone had brought an alligator on a piece of string into the pub and told him it would have to be put down in the morning if it didn't find a home my Dad would have brought it home with him. And so I shared my childhood with various dogs, a rabbit, a goose, a parakeet, lots if chickens, mallard ducks and a goat called Josey. It was a great place to be. I love him more with every passing year.
