The Mountain

Yes there are other mountains but north westerners of US kind of believe this one - Mt Rainier - is tops! She is so HUGE - and honestly when you hike up her flanks it seems like you could scurry to the top - but it is over 14K high and given that I got within maybe 5000 feet turned around by a huge sudden blizzard and have still not forgotten the exhaustion even though 30 some years ago, well not a scurry for sure.

We left early in the morning and had a great hike up one of the many rivers to get this lovely view! One could so easily do 100 woodcut compositions from 100 vantage points and they would all be different and full of beauty!
