Defender of the rock

Perching places were at a premium with a strong wind and high tide, and the gulls wanted this shag's rock. But this juvenile shag was not about to give up easily and with threatening beak snapping etc it saw them off!

PS Still not reconnected - have rung and talked to 5 different people, none of whom have been able to say when it will happen. Anyone know a good internet provider - this is Snap. who have always been good before but this time from cutting us off the wrong month to refusing to expedite reconnecting it has been a disaster!
