Focus on Golf

Spent the day in Warwickshire driving new cars made by ... you've guessed it. This was a light diversion at the morning coffee stop, trying a different type of driving.

Very unusually, Peugeot bravely invited us to closely compare their new 308 SW estate car with two well-established close rivals, a Ford Focus Estate and a Volkswagen Golf Estate. It was a useful opportunity to climb in and out of all three, making comparisons of the relative driving positions, headroom, kneeroom, rear seat folding mechanisms, boot space, loading height and so on.

We couldn't drive the rivals on this occasion, though. That will have to be for another day, and a magazine group test.
