Family Reunion

Today I left home at the crack of dawn to catch the first flight to Chicago. I picked up a rental car from there and drove several hours to Grand Haven, Michigan, near the lake shore. This week my family (on my mother's side) are having a big reunion and I decided to join them. Most of them live in various parts of Michigan but one cousin and his whole family have lived in Georgia for years and most of them have also come up for the reunion.

These handsome fellows are my Uncle Dick and my 3 cousins, his sons - Dave, Jerry and Mike. The 3 boys have most of their kids and grandkids here as well. By my count there will be as many as 20 adults and 15 children in and out this week.

We enjoyed a big BBQ with all the normal fixings and of course a few marshmallows and S'mores around the firepit.

It was a LONG day for me, but oh, so worth it!
