Uncropped.
Some of my tomato plants looking pretty healthy. Also some sweet corn ready for repotting, or re-bucketing in this case.
Here's something I never knew about corn. The moment it is picked the sugar starts turning to starch. The transformation is complete in minutes. The advice I've read is to run to the kitchen and cook them immediately. Failing that, plunge them into iced water while you prepare the rest of the meal.
So it seems that you will never know the true flavour of corn on the cob unless you grow them yourself. I'm looking forward to the experience.
I'm gigging tonight so I'll visit everyone when I get home. Time ran away on me today.
