Red Cabbage
It's been a very stressful few days and today for us all at work it certainly was. This half of red cabbage is going to be used for an experiment that the present Year 6 will do tomorrow for their Induction before they arrive in Year 7 at age 11 next September.
My story that means an awful lot to me and has been so long in embryo and to which quite a bit of comment has been made here, is unfortunately adding to my stress - so much so that it is under real threat. I am very upset about this and I do not know what to do at present.
Red Cabbage is used as an indicator in experiments I believe and as a subject it shows the structure up well. Like a White Cabbage you use to make coleslaw, it is very tight inside and the leaves seem thicker than a normal cabbage. It is one of the yummier vegetables and with a roast it really adds some distinct flavour. It does have a problem though... If you leave it in a lab, chopped up and raw in a freezer type bag or beaker for a day or too, it really does stink the lab out - so we remove it PDQ!!!
