I often cycle this route, Balloch on the shores of Loch Lomond to Helensburgh and back. When I get to Helensburgh I always stop at Hill House which was designed by the world renowned Charles Rennie Mackintosh. You can read about the Charles Rennie Mackintosh Society here
I usually just look at the surroundings while I eat a banana and have a drink before the return journey.
