Book Club, part 3

I haven't been to Book Club in a long time (I missed November's meeting because I was enjoying a brief stay in the Emergency Room and then we didn't meet in December).

So in keeping with my Book Club tradition, I present the book we read for January.

I pretty much hated it. Yeah, pretty much.

Pat Conroy is just waaay over the top for me - the language is too flowery, the plot doesn't make much sense, and is mostly hard to believe. I don't know... it could be that this book is too "intellectual" for me.

I just didn't get it.
