Jellyfish

Our last day on Shetland for now - took another walk across Quendale Beach this morning. There was a lot more energy in the waves today, although it was sunny enough to sit outside for a coffee at Quendale Mill :-) There were a lot of jellyfish washed up on the beach, as seen here. There was also a dead gannet - don't know if it suffered the fate of being washed onto shore and unable to get enough traction across the waves to pull away. We watched another gannet struggling to do just that, eventually succeeding... The weather clouded up later, making it easier to pull ourselves away and now on the overnight ferry to Aberdeen.
