Passion flower

Last year there was barely a flower on this passion flower but this year it is absolutely covered in flower buds, and so far a few have opened.

They are really quite extraordinary, with so many different layers and shapes.

Today my old boss, now retired, came in to have lunch which was really lovely. We went to a local Italian and sat outside in the sun.

He is looking so relaxed and happy - and tanned, as he has just spent a month touring France. He always has a few funny stories up his sleeve. We miss him!

But it's good to see him enjoying his retirement and in good health. Long may it continue.
