Diary of an Edinburgher

Another car trip

A wee trip to the park, with no incidents. No room to park at the Duck Pond, so we went on up to Dunsapie Lock, where JR and Archie walked up the hill - I sat watching the cygnets and the heron. He loves the long grass, but at one point I noticed him chewing the grass with even more enthusiasm than normal. It wasn't grass, it was some sort of foul (fowl) poo. His chin was greeny-brown. Yuck!

When we got back he had a face wash. It's amazing how he stands there in the sink happily while his chin is shampooed and water is poured over his muzzle.

Then we went down town to choose the tiles for the upcoming path. Easy decision really - just black and white like all the others in the area. We couldn't find the shop and walked miles, passing lots of interesting looking cafés which on any other day would have necessitated a visit. We didn't go in as I'm on the run up to my tests on Saturday, and have only to eat certain things - coffee and scones are off limits. And absolutely everything off limits tomorrow! :-(

This is Archie hanging out the window. It's probably not good for dogs to do this. He kept catching sight of himself in the wing mirror. This is before the khaki chin.
