Wetwang

In 2001 archaeologists discovered a chariot dating back some 2,500 years. Extensive research and reconstruction revealed that these vehicles had been used by ancient Britons as both a means of transportation and as fighting machines.

It is likely that the Romans did indeed copy this design belying the idea that the chariot was their own invention.
