Pine cone
I loved the way the pine cone and needles look today, these trees on our daily dog walk are so interesting when i take the time to look at them.
Hels rescued my marriage this morning and drove me to the garage to get a new battery for the key fob. Stefan worked me hard at the gym today, he thought it was hilarious that my new gym trainers, new top and water bottle all match now. I am not at all a matching sort of person and will never use that water bottle again! Clare, Hels and Jennie brought their girls and Heidi for swimming lessons, we had a lovely lunch first. The menu is amazing but I love the sticky beef salad so much I can't possibly choose anything else.
Dad arrived at home with some tiny tomatoes for Heidi and some nectarines for India as an apology for telling them off yesterday. They had totally deserved their telling off though! Dad was drafted in quickly for some Heidi sitting while I went to the bank, collected India and dropped her at her G's house for dinner and Brownies and went back to school for parents evening. Indias teachers are so pleased with her, she has had a great year, so different to this time last year when she was so miserable, due to one child's unpleasantness towards her. Hurray!
Heidi and I had a lovely dog walk then I left her at home with Daddy while I collected the Brownies and dropped them off. At half past midnight just as I was about to get into bed I remembered that I had said I would make India and Heidi's teachers a cake each to be taken into school. I used to be a regular midnight baker but since I've been gymming more I'm actually curing my insomnia and getting into bed at midnight instead of a couple of hours later.
