building on

Tonight was one of those when you just need to close the door behind you and get some fresh air. So to the creek it was.

The North Shore Rescue helicopters had been buzzing around - it's not an unusual sight and sound over here - and fair enough, when I snapped these photos I saw one passing by with the longline out and apparently the guys hanging at the other end as it headed to take the injured hiker to safety and care. I bet he didn't expect to get that kind of a ride home.

PS I wonder if there is a bug but my blip counter says this will be the 1460 entry. But my 1095 entry was July 8 and today is July 3 so something is not right. It sure felt like the year was whizzing by but it wasn't quite that fast!
