'The Accoutrements Of..........??

My jam making......!!!!!
second lot of gooseberries on simmering as I type....
busy day but I will get it all made..with some left over for a pie......!
Reading my cookery book (the one in the picture)......I discover a recipe for the pie made with pastry that is made by the 'creaming method' as opposed to the kneading.....which will suit me...so I think I'll give that shot..
Am expecting my Mum-in-Law and Brother-in Law to dinner on Sunday so will have it for that!!
I got over 5lbs of fruit ...I'm rather pleased about that.....best crop yet!!

It's a totally wet day here today (as forecast)....
as usual I find it very depressing and I know the ground needs it etc,..etc..etc!
but I wish it would stick to the night-time!!
Both animals fast asleep.......far apart .......naturally!!!

We are having a significant July 4 here today too as we are having a new leader to our Labour Party voted in......we wait in anticipation to see how this might help our ailing Government......!
My timer is going Beep now...so must go and stir in the sugar...
